I am a registered counsellor here in British Columbia, Canada with some invaluable personal experience which I use - and love using - in my work.
Rates:
Individual - $85.00 CAD for 50 minutes
Couples – $115.00 CAD for 60 minutes
Large group – $25.00 CAD per person/75 minutes
Small group – $35.00 CAD per person/75 minutes
Simple Website Building:
Are you are busy with little interest in websites even though everyone keeps telling you that you 'need' one? Are you going flat out just operating your business and staying current with your own profession.
You really don't know enough about the internet and ecommerce to 'do it yourself', yet the cost of having a website professionally made for you is outrageous... And of course if it's made 'for' you, you still have to write the content and learn about the use of keywords in your content and find ways to market your site...
Interestingly while I was learning how to make these sites I found myself intrigued and actually loving the whole 'online' world, particularly as I've spent thousands of hours over the last year on RebuildingYou.
I am in the process of writing down what I learned so to build a simple but effective website won't involve hundreds of hours to become a techie or thousands of dollars.
I have two suggestions - both of which involve a do-it-yourself website, tailor (Taylor) made for your professional practice...
The first is an absolutely FREE, simple 5 page site - the cost for the domain is around $10 a year.
A simple FREE 5 page site is perfect to use as an 'extended business card' so that clients can get to know you and your methods a little before they meet you.
Plus of course you can just dip your big toe in the 'website water' and see if you like it. You can have a link or two and you'll have a very small amount of maintenance to do. All of which I will explain and set out step by step...
The second option is more complex, but still very doable and I love the easy, automated success of these sites. It cost several hundred dollars but includes unlimited pages, fully automated admin - such as page submissions and site engine optimization - and every feature you can imagine.
Sitesell includes the cost of the domain and they seem to have a lot of trouble (which you inherit) transferring the name. So it's best to find out if the name you like is available at GoDaddy and then register it, for free when you buy their package, at SBI (aka Sitesell or Site Build It).
One tip (in case you're impulsive like me) don't buy your domain name yet - until you're sure what you're going to do...
